1. Data Controller

The respective organizer of the speed dating event is responsible for data processing on this website. You can find the contact details on the organizer page of the respective event.

2. Data Collected

We collect and process the following personal data as part of event registration:

  • First name and last name
  • Email address
  • Mobile number (optional, for queries)
  • Gender and age
  • Payment information (for paid events)

When using the matching system, we additionally store which participants you rated with "Like" or "No thanks".

3. Purpose of Processing

Your data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Organization and execution of speed dating events
  • Payment processing (online via Stripe or cash on site)
  • Conducting the matching process after the event
  • Sharing your contact details (first name and email) with matched participants in case of mutual interest
  • Sending event-related emails (booking confirmation, access code, reminder, match results)

4. Disclosure to Third Parties

Your email address is only shared with participants where a mutual match occurs. No further disclosure to third parties takes place, except in the following cases:

  • Stripe, Inc. (USA): For online payments, your email address, payment amount and currency are transmitted to Stripe. Payment details (credit card etc.) are processed directly by Stripe and do not reach our servers. Stripe is PCI DSS certified. More information: Stripe Privacy Policy
  • Hosting/Email: Our hosting provider processes technical connection data and forwards emails. The servers are located in Switzerland.

5. Data Retention

Your data is stored for the duration of event participation and the matching process. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting the organizer via the contact form.

6. Cookies

This website uses only technically necessary cookies:

  • Session cookie (PHPSESSID): For login, language selection and CSRF protection. Deleted when the browser is closed.

No tracking, analytics or advertising cookies are used.

7. Data Security

We employ the following technical measures to protect your data:

  • SSL/TLS encryption of all data transfers
  • CSRF protection on all forms
  • Prepared statements to prevent SQL injection
  • Obfuscation of contact data on public pages
  • Locally hosted fonts and resources — no external CDNs

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify and delete your personal data. Please contact the organizer via the contact form on the organizer page.
